Any one breeding/keeping these?

Postby leonthemenace » Sun Jan 16, 2011 4:48 pm

We have been looking (actualy the wife) at adders and vipers, now on condition we go for snakebite and venomous snake handlers course i am considering it. But to be on a bit safer side i am looking at ''mildly venomous'' adders. One in patricular, the Bitus rubida. I know it's going to be a permit app etc, but first need to find out if any one breed them? Like i said, maybe next year if courses completed and permit can be sorted out. The other one i was looking at is the albanica, but i understand they are under protection?

Bitus rubida are not one of the common Dwarf species by a long long way. I don't believe many people keep them never mind breed them.
You would have much more chance of getting B.caudalis or B.cornuta.
