horned adder?

I read on the internet that horned adders(Bitis caudalis) are found in gauteng. is this true? if so how common are they?

Horned adders have been found in Gauteng on a regular basis and is certain areas they can be quite plentiful.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Sorry for hijacking the post. BV in which areas do they occur, I only knew that they occurred in the Cape and North-West Province (Rustenburg)? I was told in the Soutpansberg area, but could'nt confirm it?

They occur within the Pretoria area and then further north towards Bela bela too.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
