Hi Manson
I would just like to know what you paid for this kit. I also have a similar kit dated on the boxes that expired in '58. the kit is still complete in the tin box with syringe, two ampules, needles and a tourniquet.
I would like to know what a kit like this is worth.
Very nice bit of history. Thanks for sharing!!

I’d rather take my changes with snake bite then injecting this cloudy old serum. Nice collectable thou.

Very nice! I reckon it's still good:)
One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.

It would almost seem like a waste but I would love to have the potency tested. That would be an eye opener. My money is on a 60% effective venom neutralisation.

If you look on the box this claims to work for Berg adder, Horned adder and Night adder. Never seen that before.

It would be best to offer the one to SAVP.co.za and see if they are interested as they have the facilities and would get the most reliable results. They produce the current antivenoms and need to test the effectiveness on an ongoing basis.

Let us know what they say.
