Old post I know but Id like to ask which of those was found in WC and which in EC, because we get both of those colours here in the port elizabeth area aswell as the lime greens in this area.

Jamster its the same down in the Cape Town area I have found very light ones as well as dark ones .The dark ones often have that white look to the jaw area.

Jamster and Tony K, the same can be said about Olives found in East London and surrounding areas the amount of greens varry in shades...... some olive babies tend to be born extremely dark and then lighten out into greens. Whilst some babies i've bred start out light green and dark up into adults.

The brown is the typical colour for George and Knysna.

Personally I like the lime greens, almost yellow in colour, and of course I like this black variety.

Remember It Bit Me, not everyone likes the same thing. Each person has their own preferences.

Would it be stupid question if I asked: Do the black and the green pair up in the wild? Or are they slightly different animals from each other?

They are identical, its just genetic variety.
