Was on site yesterday as we had some very nice rains and all is green. Found another 5 heavily gravid Stopped Skaapstekers and another 2 that have already laid eggs and are currently guarding them.... its fascinating to see such a sudden sprout in reptile activity. Will post more pics of females with their batches of eggs I just dont want to disturb them too much.
Other finds include Rinkhals (as always), Brown Water Snake, Red-lips, Brown House Snake, Crossed Whip Snake, Black-headed Snake, Legless Skinks and Rhombic Egg-eaters. Yet it seems the only evidently gravid species are Skaapstekers for now.
Will post pics later of other species.
