Pics...

Postby Amore.za » Wed Apr 03, 2013 12:37 pm

I took these photos at Perry's Bridge reptile park recently, and being not too clued up about snakes I forgot to take pics of the names also.

So if you guys can assist me to ID these snakes I would be really grateful!

Thank you in advance! :D

Love your first picture! The bright green really contrasts nicely with the dull background! I'm not too sure but i think it might be a Green Tree Python.

Thank you.

Both, I just need to decide what to get first.

4 - Western Diamonback Rattlesnake
5 - West African Gaboon Viper
6 - Puff Adder

Pics 2 & 3 look like Monocled Cobras (I think they're Suphans). Loving your photography btw.

I'm sure you going to have a blast buying your first snakes there, I'm sure there will be plenty to choose from.

That snake is a Bitis rhinoceros and is actually called a Rhinoceros viper but everyone still refers to it as a WA Gaboon viper. It is not a B. nasicornis.

The other snakes are identified correctly, although I am also not sure about the cobra.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
