Hi,
We found this little guy in our house this morning. We in the Gauteng are, Krugersdorp, Featherbrooke Estate.
We caught two larger one's a couple of months back and was told it is a African Rock Python. I looked at some pictures but the markings on the head is not the same.

That's a Rhombic Night Adder, quite venomous, although not deadly.

It is in fact a common rhombic night adder. You must have a good supply of frogs or toads in the area. Not a pleasant bite but not known to be deadly. They have that very distinct large V on the back of the head.
