Likely a respiratory infection. The vet will be able to tell for sure. In the meantime, raise the viv temp a few degrees, as this will bost the animal's immune system. Good luck!

I had to disconnect my daily timer en thermo-on-off system but I have managed to raise the temp to about 31 degrees Celsius.
I just moved to Jeffreysbay and don't know the Vets are in this area, hope the one I found can help.

Just keep the temps a bit higher... And up the humidity. To high humidity can cause excess mucus. So dont push it to high. Just mist him in the mornings thats it.
Ive seen the retic keepers in the US use a little bit of Eucalyptus in boiling water. And just put that in the tank. That tends to loosen up the mucus. Not sure if the boas will react to that well.

Get that temp up to around 35 Celcius, Humidity not to go if possible above about 60.
Give Henco my regards.

If you catch it early, you can nebulise with a solution of f10 and distilled water. Then just correct temps, and they should come right.

Hi MikeBodd

Why F10? When F10 is a disinfectant?
Doesn't make sense to me...

saw it here

Used it once on my boa. Worked like a bomb. Obviously if it is caught in early stages. If it does not work, or you see no progress, then yip get antibiotics from your vet.
F10 is a disinfectant, obviously kills bacteria and is safe to 'Use' on animals.

I have used f10 for ages (treat mange on rescue horses, clean snakes tubs,)

Found this on an older thread as well. Also, as I said, correct temps.
