Exactly Unforgiven. I cannot remember which camera I used because it was my friends and just wanted lekker photos.

I didn't really care about hue or saturation or anything, infact I don't even know how to change those things on a camera.

For what it's worth those two pictures are not the same. Setting aside questions of colour editing, simply look at the location of the grass to the left (photographers left) of the snakes head, its location in relation to the body of the snake is different in the two pictures.

Are the photos being compared the 2 photos of the boa on the ground on the first page?

Yup. They aren't the same though.

In first pic, the one blade of grass looks like its touching the snake's saddle.
