Okay well since this animal uses lichen to camouflage himself and is a live bearer from Africa i'm going to take a guess and say its the Jackson's chameleon (Trioceros jacksonii)

Today's clue: this species occurs in the Udzungwa mountains in Tanzania.

I think you are reffering to a stiletto heel Westley :) A stiletto is in fact a short, thin, very sharp pointed blade designed specifically for stabbing rather than cutting.
