Skaapie and Telescopus

A young Tiger I bred last year. They looking good I reckon.



This Skaapsteker is new, I have never kept them before but I am quite excited about breeding next year, I just need a male.

Awesome I love the tiger and would love to own some of them, if you can maybe help, how do I get a permit for gauteng for these guys as I have never owned indigenous snakes before?

Awsome snakes, and effort. Tiger snakes are my favorite, would do anything to get my hands on one. Is the Tiger snake T. beetzii?

@Rox6or, I can't really help with the permit thing as I am not sure how the legislation works up there. Here in KZN we still do not require a permit for them.

@reptile, they are Eastern Tiger snakes T.s.semiannulatus. Beetzii i think is a bit difficult to keep, but I have never worked with them so I am not too sure. I have heard many different opinions on husbandry though.

Westley you must see them now. I am busy feeding them up for breeding this year. Will be awesome if they lock up. The skaapie unfortunately rolled shortly after this topic was made. Still have no idea why as she was healthy, alert, and had an amazing appetite. I have not bothered to get anymore since then as I do not know if it was me that did something wrong or not, it would be nice to give them another go though.
