That is a seriously gorgeous snake.
Reminds me of the paradise tree snake.

I have been pretty busy the past few days and realized I forgot to post a reply to carry the torch on.

So here's the original question I planned to post.

This reptile has a rather different and unique way of feeding on its only prey.

My go to question: Does the reptile have legs?

It has no legs, at least none of its own anyway.

That is a very weird clue. Centipede eater maybe ?
If not, is it indigenous or exotic ?

Does this reptile feed primarily on invertebrates?

Nope not a Centipede eater and its exotic.

It does feed primarily on invertebrates.

You got it Westley.

Gerard's water snake or the cat-eyed water snake
Image

These guys literally pull freshly molted crabs through there coils to rip them to bite sized pieces including the carapace.

I suppose Jamster is also correct as his guess the Fordonia leucobalia which also has a similar approach to eating crabs but there are differences which include evolved traits that allow for its diet(hinged teeth) and they normally just eat all the crabs legs leaving the carapace, However it was not the snake I was looking for.

Okay, this reptile has a very small distribution in the western hemisphere, with it's natural range being less than 100 hectares and it is estimated that there are less than 10,000 individuals remaining.

It was long known by locals to exist, but was only discovered by science relatively recently.
