The normal female became egg bound with two eggs stuck right at the vent.
I tried everything I have learned over the years, a dose of extra calcium, swimming her in luke warm water, some olive oil and massaging.
Nothing helped.

I then turned to my friend Tim Korb, ex of Pezulu.
He succeeded in getting the two eggs out last weekend.
The female ate and seems to be doing just fine a week later.

Timmo, thanks Bud.

The first clutch of which 5 eggs survived, started to pip yesterday on day 84.
The Pairing was male Snow Motley x female Normal (Unknown hets).

I see what looks like an Amel, so the female is at least het Amel.

The other clutch which has 15 eggs is only due around the end of February.

I will get some pics of the pippies and post tomorrow.

Well, the odds on this pairing seem surprisingly good.
One Amel out with another egg pipped, also Amel.
If the final 3 eggs have not pipped by tomorrow evening, I will cut them.

A pic of the baby.

Things are going okay. 3 out of 5 eggs hatched = 3 x Amels.
