Amel hurricane motley corn has white patches

Postby Reptile-Cage » Fri Apr 17, 2015 5:29 pm

Hi there. I just wanted to share some pics of one of my keep backs for this year. She is a amel hurricane motley but has white fading or patches on her body. I can't wait to see her when she's older. What do you guys think about her?

All I can say is WOW.
Looks like there could be something hidden there but I don't know for sure maybe one of the more experienced members will be able to tell I would put my money on chatel knowing.

Mother is a anery a hurricane motley het amel / father is a amel motley , siblings were all amel and normal motleys. This is one of the replies on cornsnakes.com : "And they've never produced any anery
babies at all? The first thought I had was a
chimera, but if there's no anery gene in the
dad at all, that becomes extremely unlikely.
Next is paradoxing, that she had a specific
subset of cells during develop 'break' the
ability to make the red pigment as well.
After that there's physical abnormalities;
Rich has produced babies with white patches
that had association with spinal kinks.
There's also the chance it's something new.
Definitely keep it."

That's a stunner.

I recon the guy from Cornsnakes.net hit the nail on the head with the paradox idea. So the white would be some Snow "showing through".

Paradox is a tricky one as it has only been proven recessive for Kenyan Sand Boas and for all other species it simply pops up sporadically, so there is no way to propagate it.

Definitely a keeper nonetheless.

Thanks for all the comments. I will be breeding her parents this year, to see if more come out like her.

Wow. She is really beautiful! I simply love corn snakes no matter who says they're not cool! lol
The kiss originated when the first male reptile licked the first female reptile, implying in a subtle, complimentary way that she was as succulent as the small reptile he had for dinner the night before.

Still looks just as good! In fact, she almost looks lighter in places.

Hi thanks Westley. She is just getting more and more stunning. Photos don't do her justice. If you had to see her in person. She's really gorgeous.
