The H. lacteus is probably one of our coolest indigenous snakes!

It is interesting that your armata is a male, because (if memory serves me correctly) the males tend have that pinkish/peachy colour as juveniles, whereas the females are more black&white. Similar to the subtle colour differences in Gaboon sexes.

Yes Westley, this was quite a big boy as far as armatas go - it measured 35cm and I wonder if some of the colors fade with age/size.

Yes, they were under separate rocks of the same rockpile - they were a 1st for me and nice to see the different colorations vs size
