anyone know where i can get horned adders?bitis caudalis....or many horned adders,b.cornuta

I do, but unfortunately, the price of the many horneds is not cheap. This guy captive breeds every year, but he gets 500 euro overseas for them, so as for buying locally, he will charge big time.

Yip that is the problem. You only want legal captive bred ones and those can all be legally sent overseas for big bucks.

I expect there will be some Horned adders (B. caudalis) because I saw someone the other day with about 18 pairs from 3 different localities and they were all legal. Even if they only breed half of them there should be a whole bunch available at the end of the year.

Well, there are two guys in Durban that i know that breed horneds and many horneds and should have babies at the end of the year, but again..c/b are not cheap, but hell..they be worth it!

When I got some horned adders last year in natal cb babies were R250 each for 3.
what the hell is wrong with me?

haha don't take more than you can chew. these guys are not easy from hatchlings... other people that bought from the same clutch...had all theirs die. maybe i was just lucky.
what the hell is wrong with me?

As far as i know you should be able to get from creatures and critters in durban,last time i checked they were going for 250 a piece not bad if you ask me! :)

Well shamroth, it depends if your prepared to pay the price or not as i know a breeder in Durban, but whether you have to wait for next clutch or whether he still has, i don't know, but he isn't cheap, but he is quality!

so i see that theres now horned adders for sale on the forum....and i just went and spent all my money on a deposit on a trio of amethystine pythons!!!

oh well...cant say i regret the decision :D

Lol yup i sold mine today but thats the way it goes and they were chowing rat pinks readily so thats good. Needed a bit of bucks this month though.
