I have to sell my adult breeding pair of corns and their cage asap, I am advertising everywhere and have since had only ONE person interested and he has not contacted me back, what is a reasonable price for these snakes and their habitat? Please help!

Nope not really. It's difficult hey Liam. I've had my yearling corn for sale for over a month now because i just don't want it anymore, i'm not a corn person. I managed to sell it yesterday to a guy in nelspruit. It just takes time and patience. How much did u originally advertise for with enclosure?

I really needed some more adult females about a year ago, so I advertised a R 750.00 price tag on any large specimens. I was still getting calls around 6 months later - from 1 two week advert - with folks wanting to lay their animals on me. I think that it's all relative to the demand at the time. I dont think that there are many people that see an ad and spontaneously decide that because it's a good price, they will take the animal/s. It's more a case of what they need at a specific time and what the best prices are then. So to answer your question: I think that if yours are adults and you dont have eggs or babies at the moment, (people will think about that) then I would advertise them at about R 700.00 for the pair.

Thanks you two, Serpy, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you sell it for? I origionally had them advertised at R1400 for the pair and the cage, you must understand that Nelspruit does not have a huge ammount of cornsnakes on the market, I origionally paid R2500 for these two and the cage 3 years ago.

Just sold a LWH 120x45x60 cm film veneer vivarium with integrated LED and halogen lighting + a 1 y.o. sunglow corn for a total of 350€. That's around R3500, if I recall the exchange rate correctly. Is that expensive or is that cheap?

Hey Liam

I bought a pair of corns about a year ago for 850. It can with the cage and everything. They were in there second year of breeding when I got them, +-4 years.

The male was a normal het albino and the female was a normal if that helps.

valuable to you, I'm sure, but Pricewise maybe not! I may be looking to buy a few corn snakes early next year, not sure yet though, if I go ahead I will get in touch with you! Are yours normals or morphs?

It depends largely on the morph they are. Normals will generally not go for very much unless they have numerous hets...
