All around Kimberley it is pretty sandy, as you can see in the pics, and I have seen a few specimens that almost class as the "goggle eyes" around here. They are all pretty much this colour around here, although some of them are rather unusual and have short stubby tails. I've only seen a handfull that were bigger than 50cm. They remain rather small over here too.
