Sorry I'm so late with this - no excuse. We will close voting on the 5the September 2008 to compensate. Thanks once again for the entries, please vote for the photo you think should feature in our 2009 calendar. The winner's photo will secure a place for November 2009.

It is tough, they are all brilliant. You can see how the quality of photos has evolved since the inception of the calendar competitions.

no. 6 is a forest tree frog( Leptopelis natalensis i think? lazy for google)... a species you can find here in SA, quite common.
what the hell is wrong with me?

Some really nice pictures here, can we ask that the winners can maybe write a small story on how and what they have taken their photos with. This could assist us in taking better pictures.
