I'm so stoked!!

I'm so stoked!!

Postby Bushbaby » Wed Oct 01, 2008 10:04 am

Checked on my one female Burmese Python last night and low and behold... I saw her wrapped around her eggs!! BV and I decided to leave the eggs with her and see what happens. She seems to be okay at the moment. We'll setup the incubator just incase, but I doubt it's going to be necessary. I will try get some photos of her :) I'm hoping my albino female is also gravid, but I have my doubts.

Yup, it is. I just hope the eggs are all fertile. We will be moving them this evening and will take some pics.

With temperatures of 37 like we had yesterday an incubator sounds like something you really do not need. Maybe a fridge will be better to cool the eggs down to 31.5?

Damn I wish SA had some miniature burmese. I really love how they look, but the size puts me off.

Very nice BB. Good luck with the eggs with the heat you're having up there.

Hi guys.
Congrats on the eggs, will be interesting to see what happens if left in there.
@ Westly. I would take a normal sized burm over dwarfs any day. They apparently are notoriously aggressive and have VERY nasty attitude.
Great pics!
Cheers

Hi Dan,

We will be moving the eggs tonight. BV is setting up the incubator. We decided that with this heat we might end up loosing the eggs or they may dry up, so we're going to play it safe. Sorry.

@Westley I think the size is what really makes them such beautiful snakes, I think size matters in this case the bigger the better. congrats BB hope they're all fertile an gonna hatch an grow big big big :D
