Hi Guys
I need some advice. I recently bought myself a lovely Red Tail Boa female and although she looks healthy and is clear of mites, mouth rot etc she just does not want to eat. I have had her for over a month now and she just refuses to eat. She strikes at the food but does not actually even attemp to eat it. I have tried live food (this is what the previous owner was feeding her) as well as dead... No luck
Should I be concerned as she is starting to look very thin and her skin is actually becoming loose on her body. I took her to the vet when I first got her because she was a little constipated however the vet gave her a clear bill of health other than the constipation (which cleared up after a couple of warm baths and a good cr@p)
What also bothers me is the fact that the previous guy who had her said to me that she used to eat like a little piggy, one or two fuzzies a week and now she has not even eaten in over a month.
Please help as I am new to boa's and have only had brown house snakes & corns in the past who have always eaten like little demons.
