I know there are some amazing things to come and the amount of filming they have been doing.

It wasn't that bad, but it was definitely not what I expected.

I felt the Don takes too many risks. While he was straddling the sharks on the step beside the boat, I was waiting for a shark to bite him.

But I must also add, I felt a lot of pride hearing the accent and knowing where he was born and bred.

I did not enjoy this particular episode too much, but I'm eagerly awaiting the rest!b It can only get better from here.

Yeah once again Animal Planet has insisted on sensationalism over science. I suppose that is what keeps the ratings up especially with the younger viewers. I am sure it will get better but people must understand he has to do what the producers etc think will sell the show. If he makes it look exciting and this stimulates a few more people to go into research then it is not a loss. (Boy they are going to be disappointed). If others watch it hoping he is going to lose a finger then they might learn something while they wait.

I think good things will come of this.

I see our own "Drummer" is an associate producer and camera man too.

They had a really excellent progam "Lizzard King" on NG at the same time, so I unfortunately missed most of it. The few times i flicked over it looked like the usual AP fair ... sure its a bit hit with 13 year olds. looking forward to the reptile focused shows which i'm sure will be interesting though

Phish, that Lizzard King show is brilliant, one of the best shows in a long time.

Always proud to see one of our boys mixing it up and I am really looking forward to the rest of this series.
I cant help but think alot of the stuff that gets said on these shows by the guys is spur of the moment stuff and not actually something these guys would preach if they were sitting quitley at home with a cup of coffee.
Last night I found myself pondering the statement "the closer you keep your head to the shark the less likely it is to bite you...." whilst hugging a Mako.

There is definitely some very good stuff coming up on that show....
The crew spend a long time up here with us doing all sorts of things for this series. Can't say to much due to contractual obligations but stay tuned in...

As BV says Don has to perform a bit to Discovery's new "venom, death, danger" set up but all in all I think a lot of good will come from this gig.
Makes research look exciting and may attract more people to the field as BV says.

We were all so excited and sat down with a big bowl of pop corn but what a disappointment! It was a lot of typical American, sensationalised cr@p. Also ended up watching the Lizard King. Hopefully the other series will be better.
