good morning south-africa,
the whole family of Tropidolaemus is in badly need of revision. many scientist have tried it but made it actually more confusing. we have just finished the first paper, out of a series of tree regarding systematics and reorganization of the Tropidolaemus genus, and we have described some new full species. check Zootaxa for more informations on it, i will update you, as soon as it has been published (probably within the next 6-8 weeks). well, meanwhile - i will show you guys some pictures (without any systematic comment to it). all this animals on the pictures you see here, are already cb- some of them already F3 generation.
the believe, Tropidolaemus is a delicate species and hard to maintain is just not the full truth. if one is willing to provide this stunning, old world pit-viper with their needs, he will find out, it is a hard and rewarding display animal with a very good chance in reproducing them.
there you go:
