Help in identifying Kenyan snake
Hi, Our gardener killed this snake today. It is black with a dark blue/black belly, juvenile, found in a pile of decaying grass. I can not identify it.
It is evenly black, black dark blue underneath, oily blue reflection in sun, no visible fangs, but head damaged so not 100% sure, white tounge but not 100% bc above. Long pointy tail.
Different than wolf snake bc no upper and lower curved teeth, No house / file snake bc black belly, No black snake as head distinct, and no burrowing snake as tail isnt stump.
