Re: SOS Reptile Expo 2016

There should be but prices often change on the day. You can always try haggling for a better price.

Re: The Mamba with 9 Lives ***(WARNING : GRAPHIC IMAGES)***

I am glad my advice of the superglue splints seems to be working. Yes animals feel pain but there are numerous wild animals that are found with horrific injuries that seem to not be affected by it. There are no painkillers for snakes that you can buy over the counter and a snake in pain would stress...

Re: Diamond Pythons

Please keep this bloodline pure. I hate the bastard crosses that people think look so different. Diamonds are special and need to be kept and bred separately. At worst you could use the male on a female granite and see what that produces but the female must just make pure babies.

Re: Leopard Breeding

These eggs survive through the most extreme conditions. Please just do not release the babies unless you know exactly that both parents come from a specific locality and that you can return the babies to that locality. When it rains put the sprinkler on in that area as well as we have found the mois...

Re: Better picture of my girl

I know nobody believes me but when I say the photos do her no justice I mean it. She is gorgeous. I really want to bring her home and hide her away from all the eyes and keep her all to myself. Luckily we have one or two more to also supply the market in years to come.

Re: Advise on feeder mice breeding

There are various threads about breeding rodents. It is very labour intensive and can be rather tedious. If you intend gassing a freezing that also makes it a bit easier as having stock eating food and not selling could be a problem. Use the search button at the top and lets hope it works out well f...

Re: Scorpions where?

Yes certain scorpions are listed as TOPS animals. This includes the Flat rock scorpions and a few others. If you use the search function I am sure you will find the list of the other species.

Re: Scorpion Id

If you die from a bee sting then you are actually dying from an allergic reaction. If you die from a Parabuthus granulatus sting you are dying as a reaction to the venom exactly the same as a Cape cobra or similar neurotoxic envenomation. In fact more children die from scorpion stings in the Norther...

Re: More than 200 Frogs Confiscated at OR Tambo

They were shipped as pets. It is far too expensive to ship frogs as food. Rumour has it that these were part of a larger shipment of animals but were snuck in not expecting an inspection. The animals that had permits were sent to the Far East and the frogs were taken to Pretoria zoo. Some were alrea...

Re: Feeding hatchling egg eaters

What could work is buy breeding finches and donate them to someone who has a big enough aviary. By 5 pairs and then 5 nest boxes too. Once a week you can go raid 4 of the five nest boxes. They then get to keep whatever is raised in the last nest box in exchange for food etc. Try finding someone who ...
