I think there are only only 4 or 5 pairs in the country.
They cost around $450 each for males and $650 for females so it will be $1100 per pair for babies. Adding import duties of 14% and freight, quarantine, permit, vet inspection and all the other costs they will be around $1500 for the pair. At the current exchange rate (buying dollars at R11 to the dollar) they are not that cheap R16500.
If Graeme was selling yearlings for R12000 that is a bargain. Grab them.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
