Python natalensis pictures

Very nice! They still remain one of my favourite snake species.
It seems like a young snake too from the pics. What was it's aprox. length?

Is that the goose thief? I hope you found a nice place for release.

AWESOME FIND! Indeed it is the goose thief! Such a beautiful snake, the first Python natalensis I ever caught, only ever had glimpses of a few in the Kruger and such! The snake is roughly 1,2m and seems to be in perfect health, but feisty!
The property where I caught him is adjacent to a 3000 hectare farm. I figured that's where he came from, so during the week while passing the farm, I stopped and asked the owners permission to let the snake go on their property. Thankfully they agreed, but said I should come tomorrow (Saturday). I can't wait! There is n nice big dam near rocky ridges, in the center of the farm. Figured I'll let it go there since it has everything available to it then. Apparently the owners of the farm take in animals like Lions and Wild dog etc. so I'm very excited to go there tomorrow. I just cant help to fear that this beautiful snake might become muti or meat in the future

Inside the farm he will be safe. Lions work better than any dog at keeping people off your property.
