P. sebae natalensis is pretty easy to get hold of and the look pretty much the same as the ones from higher up in Africa. I would just get those.

There is quite a big difference in the 2 species ( P, Sebae and P,Natalensis ). P, Natalensis is most common in SA but not US were P.sebae is most common in the US but not SA ( and if I'm not mistaken they divided the two sub species into their own species ) I can post pics of facial marking and head scales if needed . I have six P.natalensis , I am a huge fan of afrocks

Firstly the species name is ALWAYS written with a small letter so its P. sebae and P. natalensis with a space between the two words.

If you actually had P. sebae unless you are in the Cape you would not require a keeping permit.

P. sebae have never been imported for trade because they look too similar to ours and the authorities would not be able to tell the difference so I have never seen a permit approved. I did inquire a number of years ago and was shot down.

Possibly you can apply to import and see what happens. I can get patternless ones if you can get an approved permit. You have nothing to lose.

BV : can you maybe get hold of a few Normal P. sebae ?

I might be incorrect but didn't Natcon classify P. sebae as illegal without CITES permit because
they can hybridize with P. natalensis ?
