Well, with this "wonderful" weather we've been having lately, my activities have been reduced to indoors, and a few quick trips out, in the lull between storms...

Hey Rian

I recon that is also L. capensis.

The other species in KZN tend to be more boldly patterned than capensis.

Some nice finds and excellent photography.

Well, it's been a while, and I've been so busy with work, and the "real world" that I've barely had time to get out and photograph. Well, I managed a few nights, and here are the results... Hope everyone enjoys some Friday eye-candy! And any help on ID-ing any of the unknowns would be appreciated!

A caterpillar that needs a shave!

Guava-flesh Sucking Moths, straight from Dean Koontz

A simple Grape-Vine Leaf

It was Dark and stormy... I HAD to try and get a creepy photo... Did it work?
Image

This moth is interesting...
Image

Because, from the side, it looks almost like an ANT!?
Image

Friendly little chap...

Golden Yellow

This one was really pretty, and uniquely built!

Image

A Lace-wing, perhaps?
Image

It's a moth... I think... I hope...

Brithys crini - Leaf Miner Caterpillar... The evil of any lily/clivia owner...

Robber Fly

Mantis and Blurry Green Mosquito
Image

And lastly, I got bored, and decided to try and see if I could do some flashlight writing... Set the camera to 60sec open shutter, and then gave it a bash...
Image
I need to work on my spacing... Disproportionate hands do not belong in the eye...

Enjoy all! Have a great weekend.
