I think it great that you organised this Drummer. Any orchids? I've seen some lovely grassland orchids from the berg.

I am posting this from an internet cafe as I am not at work cos of the pulled muscles in my leg from the almost 30km of hiking and herping that was done this weekend. I now have a gangster limp.lol. Waiting for the doctor to arrive to give me a voltaren injection which i am not looking forward to. I am glad I snapped some of these photos.

2nd pic - Its clear that I was the one lagging behind but If I wasnt then I would have been able to get this pic.
5th pic - Real herpers go down on all fours.lol
last pic - Those shoes are amazing man. Where do i get a pair.lol

All in all an unforgettable weekend with a great bunch of people. Huge thanks to everyone for making this possible. Thanx drummer (MOP - lol) for organsing.

I used to get that from hiking to the top of the berg and back over a weekend which resulted in me hobbling around work like an old coffin dodger for the next week. Just keep pushing the pain and work those muscles and you'll find it gets better quicker. I would definitely be keen on joining you guys next time you go to the berg, I just need more notice to organise the dependants on this side. If you go higher up just above the contour path you'll probably find B. atropos on the slopes. On one trip we stumbled apon 4 of them on one day around midday in February, cloudy cool but calm.

Congrats on the L. fuscus.

Very cool, i went up that exact same hike when i was 11 years old with my dad, except it was 3 days as we went up to Thabana-Letliana-spelling?
Its the highest mountion in Southern Africa i think. I remember the cave and the stream along the way. But at the time i wasn't into herps, still saw Bradypodion and some Sand Snake.
