Thanks, I was impressed too, my little phone camera isn't that bad after all.
The one of the herald in the tree is definitely my favorite. It came out really well.

You guys didn't even reply to my sms's but its ok because I spent some quality time with my son today and also became a first time uncle and got to meet my nephew who just came into the world. It beat a day herping in my opinion.

Ya, it was i good trip. That brown skaapsteker that we found was very different to the others we found that day. All the other ones, had the yellow stipes down their back, even from the same location, that brown female was just unique. Although years ago we found a similar one in a different part of mooiriver. Any thoughts?

Congrats Rishaad, glad to hear you had a good day. Sorry I didn't reply to your message, didn't even check my phone till I got home. I did give you a heads up about the trip a few days before, but that's when my brother wasn't coming and unfortunately responding only the day before didn't help as we had already made plans with the car already full. Next time we'll organize a KZNHU herping mission ;)

No squaams man. I was on leave for a whole month and only went herping twice as I couldn't find anyone to accompany me and I don't really like herping alone. Nice finds guys, especially the skaapstekker's with their eggs. Well done.

A bit gross, very sore

Postby snakemanjayd » Tue Jan 19, 2010 7:19 am

So, I don't know if I mentioned but not only did I get munched by the skaapie on this trip, but I also dropped a huge rock on my toe.
Initially it felt like it broke my toe, but the bone seems fine. The toe nail is history though. Have a look. It came off last night.
