I planned the set-up in such a way that it can be cleaned in just a few minutes. The base is put in the tank with pump, hose and plants in place. Then add the riverstone and some more driftwood. Filled up with water to the desired level and swith on pump. I have a 40w lamp on the top. NB make sure the unit seals properly for the crix to stay in.
Set-up..........
The tank with polystyrene at the back
Decide on a nice piece of wood and add it to the polystyrene, cut holes in and add small plant holders and strenghthen it with foam.
Add more foam and shape it to your needs
The pump was added to the bottom and some foam to keep it into place.
Add a sealer to the foam to harden it a bit
Put silicone on the foam and cover it with peat
Let the peat dry properly and secure waterhose to the top
Put the peat moss into the plant holders as well
Cut a hole in the back to let you look at the pump if need to
Add plants, the bottom plants are those that can stay in the water
Add some more driftwood and then cover with some river stone
The end product with the waterfall dripping water over the set-up
