Need ID please

Hello,

I know this photo hasn't been taken in South Africa but coul you help me indentify this snake?
The picture has been taken in a rocky area in the Northern part of Namib desert the 1st April 2009:

horned adder (Bitis cornuta)?

A Juvenile by the looks as well....

b.caudalis is horned adder if i am not mistaken and b.cornuta is many horned adder??

horned adder in the blue by the looks of him, colouration abit on the dull side.
The bible says we have been given the power to tred apon serpants and scorpion. Please watch your step....

darryl..there are many colour variations of this species Just depends on the locality many are this dull colour and may look like they are about to shed..look them up..

That's a Horned adder, Bitis caudalis.

@ ralphie i am aware of their locality and colour variations ,if you look closely at the picture you will see the grey eyes!
