RIP Slevin

At one stage or the other, we all deal with a death. It is never nice losing a pet and thus, you can share your loss with the rest of us and share your memories so that they will be remembered.

RIP Slevin

Slevin was a little kitten that I found, being stoned by locals at the local hardware shop when I collected my staff one morning around 1 1/2 years ago. He was so thin, and had almost no fur, and in spite of the cruelty he was encountering at that moment he let me pick him up, wrap him in my jersey and take him home with no fuss at all. I was already handraising 6 kittens whose mother had disappeared (we thought to a python), so 1 more was no hassle, hence he was "Lucky Number Slevin". Getting him up to weight, over his ringworm (which he generously shared with me :) ) and through a hectic bout of respiratory infection, he became our little shadow, never out of sight. He grew into a big, very fat, siamese looking cat, the most loving of boys, with the bluest eyes you have ever seen. Today, we lost our Slevin - something attacked him, possibly monkey or leopard, and he died in surgery. I love all of our cats, but Slev was very special, so Slevin - my blue eyed boy, I miss you dearly and am so sorry I wasn't there to help when you needed it the most.

Sorry to hear that. It sounds like he had a good life and appreciated what you did to save his life. I am sure he forgives you after all you did for him.

He had a good life with you. It counts in more ways than one.

Sorry for your loss, and from reading the above, you WERE there to help him when he needed it most. YOU pulled him through everything and I am sure he would never forget you and always be grateful for what you did.

He is in a happy place now, so take comfort in that.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Slevin was fortunate that you crossed his path. At least you provided him with the best possible love, care and attention.

RIP little Slevin.
