Awesome picture of an awesome snake! TrevorH is right though, its actually a Rhinoceros Viper - B. rhinoceros. They're no longer a sub-species of Gaboon Viper.
I don't know anything about snakes, I just go on what somebody told me. I've got a lot to learn about snakes. I've got a few of this snake and a few other snakes, but I've got no idea what they are.
