Copperheads

My friend had rattlesnakes die when bitten by another but generally it was because the fangs penetrated a vital organ such as a lung, the heart, liver or something like that. It wasn't the venom. If not hit in a vital spot they did fine. Most likely that baby copperhead died because it was already dying. It had obviously gross abnormalities including the brain (the head is obviously not formed correctly) and the bite to itself was most likely a dying reflex. I've had snakes died that went into convulsions and bit themselves during the dying process.
