Rack System Retailers?

Rack System Retailers?

Postby Izzy » Tue May 07, 2013 2:07 pm

Hi guys,

I am on the look for a rack system to house sub and adult ball pythons. Nothing too big maybe 10 - 20 tubs should suffice. So there any people that build and sell such systems that are reasonably affordable in the Jhb Pta aria?

Thanks

Louis Jacobz (Eyelash) also does racks. Give him a call.

I do racking systems to suit all sorts. I have a rack of 6, 12 or 20 tubs suitable for medium to faitly large Ball Pythons. If I get enough orders together at once, I drive them up from Durban, splitting the transport costs.

I can vouch for the Snakes4Africa Racks. I have two of them at the moment.

One is a 19 tub rack system split with 9 x 11lt. tubs and 10 x 26lt. tubs.
The other is a 6 tub BP Rack with 6 x Big Jim Tubs.

All racks have heating cable routered into the base's.

Thanks gents i really appreciate the quick response, but i was hoping to walk into a shop buy a system and walk out, it would seem that most of these suppliers would take your order and build the system from there this is quite understandable if i was looking for something that needed to be custom built but as it stands i don't have the time to wait ( i was never in the queue when patience was dealt out). So i will be taking the leap and build the rack myself, i will be stalking forum for info in the next couple of days to see just how to do that. Of Course any advice will be welcomed, off the top of my head questions like, where do you get 26L tubes, what thermostats are best for rack systems etc comes to mind?

Once again thankyou to all that replied this hobby would be a hell of a lot more difficult if it was not for this forum and it helpful members.

Get the tubs from Eyelash MUCH MUCH cheaper than any store but you will need patience :P (unless he still has some left over from the expo)

Sadly racking systems are only just starting to take off and are expensive. If you'd like any advice on building your own, don't hesitate to contact me. 0828946783. Alternatively, give me a deadline and I'll see if I can match it.

I think I have about 130 cages in the form of racks from Snakes4Africa but the distance is the problem. If he can get them to you in time then its a bargain. You could also have bought them at the expo as he is always there.

Rassie (Ball python morphs) also has nice racks for ball pythons albeit that they are virtually indestructible and have a premium price but he is based in Pretoria.
