Info needed

Hi Guys.

I've been thinking about the enclosure for my Leo.
What I want to do is put Gravel or pebbles at the bottom fill it with water then a layer of moss (or something) and then a layer of Astroturf.
I basically want to do this so I can keep the humidity up. and maybe grow some plants if possible.

Now I don't know if this will work or if it's not save for the little Leo.
What to you guys think?

Hmmmm, I'm not sure that's a great idea.

With the entire cage having such high humidity, your gecko might be prone to respiratory infections or troubles.

You want to give him a choice between humid and dry. And the easiest way to achieve this is to have a dry cage with a humid hide (and also a dry hide).

Here is an AWESOME post of how a guy created a naturalistic enclosure for his Leo Gecko. Make sure to read all 12 pages as he has regular updates.

I would go so far as to say this is one of the best enclosures I have ever seen.

Good luck and please post some pictures of your progress and the final product.

Thanks Westley!

I'll have a look at that. Will certainly post some pics when I start.
