My trusty female banded snouted has been producing eggs for at least 8 years. Last year she gave me 50 eggs - being the most she ever gave me.
Today she was laying again and so far 39 eggs (37 in picture) and at least one more on its way. She is an old girl and looks pretty beaten.
Mating on 31 August 2010 (they mated several times before and after this).
Laying eggs today (18 Nov. 2010)
Eggs
This female is getting old and for the first time ever she was slightly egg-bound. Last week she shed her skin and did not lay eggs. She has always laid her eggs immediately after shedding. I waited a few days then gave her calcium orally. This didn't work either so 'Bushviper' suggested a warm bath which I gave her last night. The warm bath must have helped because this morning she had laid most of the eggs.
Thanks for looking.
